returns for a personal wine tasting.
| In an era when new trademarks spring up every day (usually with a clever name, fancy graphics on the label, and basic bulk-wine in the bottle), Sass is a refreshing bit of wine-making reality. The winery manages 8 acres of hillside vineyard and purchases a bit more fruit from neighbors. Total production is up to about 4,000 cases/year, mostly Pinot Noir, handcrafted wines from a distinctive place. The scale is small, and the focus is blessedly narrow! |
